Text to Cover is a shift-coverage text service from Malloy Ventures LLC, based in Denver, Colorado ("Text to Cover," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website at texttocover.com and our text line.

Who uses Text to Cover

Organizations are businesses, such as multi-location salon owners, that use Text to Cover to cover shifts. They set up their locations and their managers.
Team members are an organization's managers, supervisors and stylists. They join by tapping their organization's join link, entering their name and mobile number, and agreeing to get shift texts (the join page links to this policy and our terms).

What we collect

From team members: first and last name, mobile number, role, home location, the locations where you'd pick up shifts, and your replies to shift texts (YES, NO, or the hours you can work).
From managers and supervisors: the shifts you post, approvals you give, notes for people covering at your location, and who called out and why. The reason for a call-out is shown only in reports to the organization's owner or administrator.
From everyone: the texts you send to our number, and basic technical information our website host records when you visit a page.

How we use it

To send shift offers, replies, approvals, confirmations and account texts (like links to post a shift or change your settings).
When someone is approved to cover a shift, we share their name and number with the manager who posted it, and the location's details and a contact number with the person covering, so you can connect.
To give the organization reports on shifts posted and covered.
To answer your questions and keep the service working and safe.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We do not share mobile numbers or text message opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers below that help us send your texts.

Your information is visible to your own organization as described above. We use a few service providers only to run Text to Cover: Telnyx (sends and receives texts), Netlify (hosts the website and stores service data), and ImprovMX (forwards email sent to hello@texttocover.com). We may also share information if the law requires it.

Your choices

Stop texts: reply STOP to any Text to Cover text to stop all texts. Reply START to rejoin.
Change your locations: text SETTINGS to our number for a link to change which locations you get shifts from.
Delete your information: email hello@texttocover.com and we'll delete it, except anything we must keep by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you or your organization use Text to Cover. If your organization stops using it, we delete its information within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

We use reputable service providers and limit who can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send anything sensitive by text.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
