Call-outs that cover themselves

Text to Cover is a texting tool that helps multi-location salons cover a shift when a stylist calls out. No app to download.

How it works

  1. A salon manager texts COVER and gets a link to post the shift that needs covering.
  2. Stylists who signed up for that salon get one text about the shift. They reply YES, NO, or the hours they can work.
  3. A supervisor approves who covers it with one tap.
  4. The stylist gets a confirmation text, and the manager is told who's covering.

Who gets texts

Only employees of a salon organization that uses Text to Cover, who signed up themselves. We never text anyone who hasn't joined. Texts are about covering shifts and the person's own account, never ads.

How people join

Each organization has its own join link, which managers share with their team. On the join page, a person enters their name and cell phone number and taps Join, agreeing to the disclosure below. We then text a link to that number to finish signing up, so nobody can be signed up with someone else's phone.
